Wale and Cole shoots a vid and have a lil eye candy. This track didn’t make the album but more buzz to keep himself relevant.

I pray Wale wins because he represents a generation — our generation. The generation that was told to go to school to get a good job then while in our senior year the stock market crashed. After completion of school we got jobs that required no college education with little hope of getting the job we want, our dream job. Part of that is that old heads won’t relinquish their positions but most of it is circumstance. We have the ambition but sometimes not all the means. If Wale makes it we call can make it. If someone can do it; why can’t I? That’s what this album will symbolize.
“Why not live with the drive to aspire?”
Ambition – 11.1.11
Wale & Rick Ross finally release the video for “That Way”. They’ve been sitting on this video for awhile! Great marketing plan though, have this single be a bridge between ‘Self Made’ and Wale’s ‘Ambition’. Warner pays that man ’cause Ross knows what he’s doing. How he knows? I don’t know, all I know is that he knows.
Wale releases his first MMG affiliated mixtape, ‘The Eleven One Eleven Theory’.I don’t expect this to be anything less than ‘More About Nothing’. It’s all about progression.

Wale brings along Magazeen, Black Cobain and Tre of UCB for glimpse of “Ocean Drive”. I don’t think this will be on Ambition, because of how far from the release date it has leaked –I hope it isn’t–, but stranger things have happened. If you add this track with “Bait” & “Bad Girls Club”, Wale already has more radio friendly tracks now than all of Attention Deficit.

Wale talks to Culture VI about his new found “cockiness”, his two albums and his marriage with Maybach Music.
I’m a Wale enthusiast, I want Wale to win but I’m a blogger also thus making me an A&R of World records. I strongly disagree with Wale’s distortion and generalization when it comes to “nigga’s with the computers”. I listen and heard the intricate lyrics he was rapping in Self Made Vol.1. I thought Self Made showed he remained true to himself, his talent and broadened his fan base. I didn’t understand the signing with Ross at first but when I saw that Wale was still able to be Wale, I recognized the opportunity he took and rejoiced in it. He is right, his microphone is bigger now. How can anyone blame him for that? Oh yea, we all threw stones at LeBron didn’t we?
I know I’ll be crucified for this but doesn’t this remind you of a ‘Pac interview?
Maybach Music’s very own, Wale, teams up with J.Cole and releases his first single, “Bad Girls Club”, from his sophomore effort AMBITION. J.Cole produced this. I don’t actually know yet if I like this track which means I’ll either ignore it or like it from familiarity. I can’t imagine this being a summer anthem though.
Update: My little brother LOVES this song. He just played it 5 times back to back. Maybe they have something here.
I have no idea what the fuck Wale is talking about but this shit is FIRE! This is what hip hop needs. Individuality, creativity and a introduction to another region. I’ve never been to D.C. and this track was like a vacation. I got to experience D.C. culture in 4 minutes. Please don’t get him confused with another rap nigga. #Waleback
Second leak this week from Self Made. Wale and Jadakiss were among my favorite rappers but this song is not good. I’m beginning to get very complacent with rap nowadays. Maybe it’s just the Maybach Music formula. I didn’t like 2pac back either. Less Ross more individual efforts. I know why Ross is featured on these tracks I just wish that didn’t have to be the case.
Self Made – May 24th
Wale jumps-pun intended-on a classic Kris Kross track and it sounds nothing like the Atlanta duo’s original version. This is creative artistry at it’s finest. Yea, I’m bias.
