Fabolous shoots a visual over
Ja Rule’s Tupac’s Pain instrumental. I actually liked ‘S.O.U.L. Tape’. I didn’t think I would but Fab surprises me from time to time. His ability to stick to what he does best and branch out occasionally is what makes Loso win. That and an always attractive leading lady. I know you see the video’s where the girls are bootyful and bring nothing else to the table in terms of attractiveness.
Loso is one of my favorite rappers. He always seems to re-invent himself when the time is needed, seamlessly. This is just another stitch in the tailor made flow.

The S.O.U.L. Tape – In the works
My mamma likes this joint. Even made me put it in her ipod. Aristotle shot the video and the concept is imaginitive yet what you’d expect it to be. Very witty on his part.
So Fabolous and Banks jump on a Joe Budden track; interesting. Banks verse is inaudible as always and I think Fabolous put out the best effort. Joe Budden’s too witty for his own good-what a surprise- and Royce da 5’9” talks about the weirdest shit. It’s a track where you get what you’d normally get from each artist away from this track. No out of the box creativity coupled with no chorus. Nowaday’s,I gather, people want to hear songs not a huge collaboration freestyle with 3 New York rappers finished by Detroits golden child. Though the rappers might be lyrical titans, there is nothing memorable about this track.

This was the lead single off Fabolous’ 2nd CD Street Dreams. I added a bonus joint after the jump. Its amazing to see how far Fabolous is gone. He was looked upon as being too much like Jay-z then he went too bitch now he is killing the competition. It’s Loso case you didn’t know so.
Fab’s back after 50-11 delays on this DJ Drama assisted mixtape. Sorry for the resolution on the image.

Good evening Duke’s and Dukettes. Here is a new section from the unstable mind of Hymn; we’ll see how long it last. With the blogosphere going ham with new posts every single day (sometimes hours) I’ve noticed that I’ve missed a couple gems the last couple months. Whether it comes from albums that were released that nobody bought or albums that didn’t pick the right single. This section is for low profile releases that didn’t get enough coverage because a Drake/Lil Wayne leak hit the internet the same or joints that just didn’t pop. I’m talking something you might have been aware of but never paid attention to. This is their spotlight. Every week I’ll be hitting you with a few along with regular posts. Hit me at Hymn@pardonmeduke.com if you have suggestions.
Loso’s Way in stores today… I ran through a few tracks and was not moved but i will listen to the album and get a better view of it.
Fab speaks with Rosenberg and Chipa about the Classic Raekwon album Only Built for Cuban Links. I still know people that haven’t heard the Purple tape… SMH
