Alpo Telling Stories!

Alpo

Please don’t be fooled by the title of this post, but Alpo is telling stories…his story. To be honest I don’t know when he did this interview, but he is locked up. I know the audio is long but it is interesting, coming straight the work horse’s mouth. I also came across the Game Over Documentary on YouTube. So Enjoy!!!

Nothing impressive or interesting about a couple of clowns who got over just prior to the government getting smart enough to follow the money in drug enforcement. I am impressed that so many people still idolize a couple of guys, who in the end, will have spent the overwhelming majority of their lives locked up making below minimum wage reminiscing. I’ll take my sometimes boring 9 to 5 everytime, while I watch my future children grow up.

Its true that the government got wise about the crack and cocaine game due to the efforts of cats like this but one thing is definitely true as you watch this documentary. NY in the 80’s was probably the capital of hustlers. Its like ole boy says in the clip, it wasnt just three dudes in Harlem getting money it was a serious of blocks in Harlem but it wasnt just Harlem it was a wide spread of violence and new money that swept thru the streets of D.C. NY, Miami and the rest of the U.S. If you think it was a game then you should check out another documentary called “Cocaine Cowboys”. This shows how the other half lived as a result of the drug trade during this time period.

  3. S. Mathis Says:

I’m ashamed to admit that I have seen ‘Cocaine Cowboys’ and found it very interesting. The most interesting revelation given in the documentary: That most of Miami’s hotel development can be almost directly linked to 70’s and 80’s drug proceeds. This was something I wasnt aware of.

  4. T.Thomas Says:

These dudes really worked hard to lace their pockets with wads of cash. However the reality of this drug of the 80′ and 90’s is it caused alot of death and destruction in our community. Thanks to the streets documentaries we can get a inside view of what these guys did and what they were like. Even though it is a shameful lifestyle, it has left a lasting impression and still today it has many rappers copycating the jewelry and flashy lifestyle of this illegal hustle; It needs to be seen by all and taught as a lesson of what not to do with your life.

i was in it and it was a game the shit was not glamourous,up all nite sleep half the day, fighting, shooting, friends being killed,a whole generation lost. i think back now and realize i wasted a lot of my life and so did a whole lot of other brothers, now im a felon and really didnt do shit with my life all for that street life in the 80s.neighborhoods tore up to this day from it,so you fools can think that shit was cool i know better.

  6. chris Says:

  7. soufeast Says:

Came up in it. Lost a lot of niggas in it. Lost my brother to it. We thought it was a game of survival, it was a deathtrap. And the government allowed it - beothers dying keeps them happy.

Money gone, now what? We do what we do, and the body count stays on the mind. Its a motherfucker. We destroyed ourselves.
