Shad Moss want’s you to get out and place your vote. Here he is on CNN yesterday speaking about his new campaign encouraging the youth on his campaign to register. Doesn’t he have a coach to make him not so obvious to keep looking at the cue cards in the corner of the screen. Back to the politricks my Dukes. Vote registration ends October 6th!!!
Here’s an interview shot by current TV with Michael Hayden. He’s a Police Officer who outed himself recently in Jamaica. For those who know about Jamaica’s laws are aware of the Buggery laws that have been around since England ruled Jamaica. The law was lifted in the England but has never been changed in Jamaica. Look my Dukes, at the end of the days it’s a case where if you can’t deal with the laws of the land you might need to bounce. Cause in the land we love the rules are simple…Fosse Fi Dead!
Chris Rock sat down with Larry King last night and it was a great interview. Pookie sure came up over the years. He talks about his special “Kill The Messenger” this Saturday on HBO. He talks about his support of Barack, the 700,000,000,000 (I put all the zero’s to show how critical it is) bail out and America being broke.
French Montana and Max Biggaveli continue there verbal assault on Jim Jones. I cant wait to see what this Coke Wave album has in store for us. Oh yea…OWWW!!!!!
My homie J.Cole just sat down with the illustrious Elle for an interview on his journey in Hip Hop. Here’s an excerpt:
Biggest challenges with rap.
My favorite rappers rap about shit that I could never rap about. It’s all art and entertainment at the end of the day and you choose your persona but there is something in me that won’t let me choose something that doesn’t socially reflect who I am. Tupac, Nas, and Jay-Z, rap about a lot of street shit that I know about from my experiences. I’m challenged to find the most creative ways to still reel people in with different stories that they can relate to. It’s also an opportunity because it’s a lane that has never been done. Every now and then I do want to kill someone on my song, for fun. Just to see what it will be like. Sometimes you want to play different roles because you know you can.
Hovie sat down with one of my favorite NY periodicals, Time Out New York at the moment to talk about the city we love so much. The funniest part was when they talked about choosing him over Esco.
You’re the only rapper on this list. We were considering Nas but have this 13-year rule: People on this list had to have had an impact in the last 13 years. And Illmatic was 1994. Should we have included him? Jay-Z: Ah, wow! [Laughs] That’s a tough question. [Pauses] Yeah, only because of the impact of that album, when it’s considered one of the best albums ever created, you have to document that.
