My favorite cut from Nellyville. I never thought this would be a single and the way it sold that was a good A&R decision not to release it as a single. I appreciated the visuals though. Putting Goldie in the video just added to the allure.
I added this today because Mr. 35 million sold is making a comeback. I guess Michael Jordan’s Bobcat’s aren’t bringing the returns they are supposed to or Nelly couldn’t get out of his deal. The next album should cover him by my calculations and then hopefully no more Nelly albums. I will never forgive him for that Sweat/Suit bullshit.

NELLY is the perfect example of a mediocre (on his best day) rapper whose album sales gassed him into thinking he was Rakim when he was closer to MC Hammer (at least Hammer danced better). What dumb ass doesnt look at those sales and figure out that its time to go mainstream and get some of that corporate money? As opposed to releasing a video like ‘Tip Drill,’ subsequently drawing the ire of college age black women who probably loved Tupac, and publicly deading any signs of growth, maturity, and a well known black chick named Ashanti.

What NELLY should have done- 1) clean it up and work on some mainstream danceable bangers 2) keep the relationship w/ Ashanti working (she aint Beyonce but women get to read abt ya’ll in magazines every week and thus keep ya name popping) 3) do a GQ magazine cover repping ya city’s style, a Muscle & Fitness spread and mainstream it up. Then chill out and assume ya place as a rich dude who is remembered for being better then he was but who put a city on the hip hop map.
