He sounds like D’Angelo, Sam Cooke, Melvin Sapp, with traces of Marvin Gaye. He sings from his soul/gut and has a 70′s nostalgia about him. When I first heard “I need a dollar” I thought it was a sample and Mr. Blacc was a rapper.
