“If I Were President” PSA – Mos Def

Half of the points dude brought up in his PSA, I’d have to actually agree with him. No longer should the US be made fun of & be the uncool country.

“Hey Japanese, you can’t be the only ones with the new technology anymore. Making my phone look like it comes from the 80′s, no.”

    1) 10% TAX? So long as we eliminate financial aid, social security, veteran’s benefits, and multiply 10X the cost of mailing envelopes and riding transit.
    2) Eliminating the ELECTORAL COLLEGE? Ever did jury duty? If so, then you understand the need for a buffer called the Electoral College. In a country where Paris Hilton is famous. Britney Spears is the most searched person on the internet and Lil Wayne has the best selling album of the year, you want to throw it all in the people’s hands DIRECTLY for the popular vote? Those Founding Fathers didnt just make it up as they went along. There was some thought put into this whole process.
    3) Make wealthy people do more? Let me get this straight: you are smart, athletically gifted, or just work harder then everyone else to get wealthy so you should be made to volunteer more? Keyword being ‘MADE’ to do more. MOS was smoking before he made this one.
