Video: Love Lockdown – Kanye West

So we stray farther away from Hip Hop to debut on Ellen. Guess Jay-Z’s next album listening session will be hosted by the view huh Dukes. So here’s Kanye’s new video for his 808′s &Heart Breaks album. I like the song but it wasn’t like how I felt when I heard “Can’t Tell Me Nothing”. In my always personal opinion I have to say the videos overrated. I feel Kanye for being an artist and all but really what does this video mean. Sure we can say he’s being an artist and he creates only for himself but fuck that. This had been done to death with the white room that changes flawlessly. And as for the African native dancers Hype Williams “Put Your Hands Where My I Can See” > This. Where’s the soulful Kayne…this eletrcic shit bores me. Louis Vuitton Don needs to come back.

Now I’m going back to my Outkast marathon. I’m listening to the catalog in order. That is all..

(Skew It On The BBQ@ GOAT) — ‘Love Lockdown’ The song is just ok to me. I can get past it so long as there is hip hop to be heard on Kanye’s album. Considering the response that Ye has gotten, he knows what he is doing, even if we here in hip hop land don’t know. Great MTV video, ok 106 & Park video, ugh Rap City (r.i.p) video.

This shit isn’t a rap song. Fake as T. Pain. I hate to hate on Kanye, but he left me no options.

I’m just hoping the loss of his mother doesn’t cause him to go all Lauren Hill on everybody. He might not have a beat-less album but he might have an album where all he’s doing is “T-Paining” over awky tracks. Booo

Whats good wit your man? This might be that album that almost every big artist has where they promote it as their greatest most emotional and artistic work then if it flops he tells us how he was oding on tylenols during this time. I hope his album ends up being good but i’m starting to think he’s going through his “artistic changes” period.
