B.G. & The Chopper City Boyz
“Live In The Concrete Jungle” Album Snippets

BG & Chopper City Boyz

Me and my dude Romen Empire went over to Quad studios over a week ago to check out B.G. & The Chopper City Boyz new album. I really didn’t think I was going to like the album but I was sleeping, then I woke up. The group consisting of B.G., Gar (aka G.A.)and Snipe came through and performed the whole album for a room of videographers, writers and label execs.

So my tank was on E when I hit Studio B of Quad. After snacking on a a few plates (three to be exact) of buffalo wings and a corona I sat and waited for the show to begin. The dude Gizzle walked in looking like he was Sky High (Eddie Cane status not Bob Marley) for real. Snipe and Gar were there to perform. It was good to se the two fairly new Emcee so professional at the session. The production from the album was very impressive not to mention the lyrics from both fairly new artists. B.G. however left the listening area frequently leaving the two to do there thing. This to me was bad and good for the duo. Good in the way that we can just focus on the two, bad because the CEO seemed like he had better things to do.

None the less I was very impressed by the album. For the most part it doesn’t sound like a B.G. & Co. record. Both New Orlean re presenters shined throughout the LP. I wouldn’t just tell you to go buy it my Dukes so I slipped you the snippets to judge for yourself. Enjoy my Dukes, Life In The Concrete Jungle in stores September 16th on Asylum Records.

“the lyrics from both farily new artists.”

Both of them have been rappin for a minute now. I was hoping BG would haven given up that many of his fans much less new fans would embrace these two. Not even Nola is embracing them. Surprised u enjoyed them. Maybe u had one two many coronas?

Sorry to hear BGs gettin sky high again. Last time I saw him live was when Soulja was still alive and they performed together. BG was so messed up he was leaning on Slim and Slim was spittin his verses and BGs. After that shit I was like fuck wasting money seeing BG live again. Slim wasn’t on the ticket and if he hadn’t come thru I think the show woulda been canceled.

Love BG on wax but live ..forget about it.

I feel you but I still think the two are talented. Maybe it’s just not your cup or lean. “Nola” or not I dug the Chopper City Boyz. I guess Wayne rules supreme…

    “I guess Wayne rules supreme…”

Lol! I wasn’t sayin all that. Just mentioned Nola not showin Gar, Snipe and BGs brother love as a bad sign cause New Orleans is very supportive of its artists even when those artists are subpar.

But again u were feelin them and hopefully alot of others will too. Good luck to the Chopper City Boyz. The production sounds really nice and thats always a huge plus.
