Stop Acting Like NY Been Soft Since Jay Fell Off

The Parker Report sits down with Dipsets Prince and Capo for an in depth interview. The topic is basically “What Happened To New York?”. Juelz goes for the jugular early declaring Jay fell off. I guess it’s easier now that he’s no longer his boss.

It’s funny when Hov was signing the boy Juelz checks…Heeeee ain’t really want the drama..He took his little pot shots wit’ him and Wayne on the Black Republican redo..But he leaned waaaay back. Now he know Hov out the picture he take a weak ass shot like that. I ride wit’ what Jim Jones said though..Everybody want to be King no unity. And like Jay said, nigga’s saying Hov fell off such dummies/even if I fall I land in a bunch of money.

First off, was this interview conducted before or after the release of the ‘AMERICAN GANGSTER’ album? Cuz, that album re-established JAY as numero uno STILL. Why did NYC fall off?
1- The usually lyric intensive NYC style stopped selling so artists started selling their soul in the form of southern/midwestern copy cat music.
2- It became cool to declare yourself a hustler first who just happened to rap instead of vice versa. Thus, allowing the excuse of a lack of creativity cuz ‘hey, its all about the streets.’ I partially blame JAY-Z for this though he just happens to be nice.
3- Hip Hop is about 25 yrs old. Did we think that all the talent was limited to NYC/L.A. and nobody else would catch up to us?

    S. MATHIS, I AGREE WITH YOUR NUMBERR 3 ALL THE WAY. I THIS FOLKS ON THE KOASTS GOT KOMFY, WHILE FLY-OVERR KOUNTRY WAS GETTING THEIR MONEY, BUSINESS(AND EVEN LYRIKS) UP.

WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, IT’S ALL ABOUT WHUTS ON THE RADIO & 106.
I THINK THE REIGN OF KOASTAL SUPRIMIcY HAS FALLIN SO FAR BEKUZ OF SOME SORT OF SUB-GENERATIONAL GAP. US OLDERR HIPHOP FANS KNOW, RESPEKT & REGARD OUT NY/LA RAP ROOTS; WHERE AS THESE UNDERR 20 SOMETHINGS FELL LIKE THEY DONT OWE US OR A BITY SHIT!

NOT TO MENTION THAT WE SQUANDERED THE LAST OF “THE GOOD YEARS”(LATE 1990′S) OVERR SOME BULLSHIT EASTKAOST/WEST KOAST BEEF. THEY WANT WHUTS HOT. AND UNFORTUNATELY, WHUTS HOT(TO THESE LITTLE IN-GREATS) IS “AY BAE BAE” & “YAH TRIcK, YAAAH!”

AINT REALLY NO REKONcILIATION AT THIS POINT, I GUESS. IT’S KINDA LIKE; ONcE YOU LOOSE YOUR HAIR, YOU KAN ONLY GET PLUGS OR A TUPEE–BUT EVERYONE KNOWS IT’S NOT A GOOD AS IT USED TO B…
