Saigon is giving us a bitter spoon full of truthiness.

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t need to hear the first half of this interview. I think by now, the whole Prodigy thing is dead and I couldn’t care less about the details anymore.
I do think however, that the second half where he speaks on AIDS and the responsibility of artists today to talk about condoms and spread a positive message to young people, was way more important than the whole Mobb Deep scuffle.

And now with him deciding to quit the rap game, as evidenced in his blog

I just think he’s a bit lost right now. I really thought that his main goal was to release the Greatest Story Never Told.
Now he’s saying he’s not sure he wants to release it on December 4th now. I’m disappointed, because I believe like him, that it is a masterpiece. He cannot allow this recent BS to keep him from doing what he’s been wanting to do all this time.
I hope this was just a farce and that he really isn’t quitting the game. I really do believe he’s the breath of fresh air the industry needed. Right now though, his biggest roadblock is himself. He needs to realize that you must keep going despite the haters. They’re always going to be there..
