That was cool. What the hell took 3 months?! Looks like a 16-hour shoot with a few days in post. Tops!! I can dig it though.

This was aiight. I dig it. “Can’t tell me nothing” is the craziest joiint out to me right now though. Arrogance aside, Kanye is a beast with the music. Even though he sample just about every damn thing he do, he has a good ear and at least tries. He the only artist to come out after the year 2000 I could listen to. Anybody else that came out? Irrelevant.

the video is hot!!!! One of the hot video’s this year! The song is just kool, I mean “can tell me nothing” is the joint. It’s going to be hard for him to top that song and thats why it’s was the first single.

Kanye’s ryhmes though seemingly simple are fire. You really honestly can’t tell him nothin unless you can do better…….(crickets, and tumbleweeds) is anyone out there?

I’m late on this one. Nonetheless, I write: “Thank you Kanye for being willing to be original when it is so easy to re-write/re-mix & re-name ‘Gold-diggers’ and collect your money. You genuinely want to sound different this time around. You understand and accept that most rap fans scream for originality but pander to more of the same remixed to a sped up sample. You have single handedly saved hip hop with:1- your magic touch on what will be Jay-Z’s last classic album (‘the Blueprint’), 2- with the release of your two previous albums that were my first rap purchases outside of the Nas/Jay imprint in 5 yrs, 3- with your roster of resurrected emcees (Common & Consequence), 4- by showing that there is something original left to talk about (see: ‘Diamonds are forever’ and stop pretending you knew all about Sierra Leone prior to this song!) and 5- your ability to be a arrogant ass hole who has style, lyrics, beats, & humbleness to people I like (Jay, NAS), and ambivalence to those beneath you (50 Cent – though you sure are on his mind alot huh, lol). I have one request Kanye: can you please adopt Jadakiss, Fabolous, or Papoose, so we here in Brooklyn can have at least one NYC emcee*, with some respectability, who is under 35 years old. Pretty please. ”

p.s. “…ok I’m desperate, if the above guys are unavailable, can u please do something with AZ maybe? Make him think he’s 22 years old again and pretend that Nas is in the other studio writing his lyrics for the track”
