When Snoop Dogg came into the game he had a gang of West Coast artists with him. Over the years though the big homie has branched out recording with a gang of East Coast, Dirty South, and pop artists. The Big Squeeze is a coming home of sorts. This compilation features the Wests elite. The LP may have some of the best in the West but the songs don’t represent them right. Snoop lends the song “Candy” from The Blue Carpet Treatment to this LP. Clearly thats the first sign of a compilation thats lacking. Production throughout sounds like it was left on the cutting floor. “Love Don’t Live Here” is the only standout jewel on this LP. A tale of a man who turns his life to the streets and is put out by his mother. Forced to become a man he does what he needs to do to survive. The new man in the house eventually steps over his boundaries and gets dropped for that. One song cannot carry a whole CD none the less. This is a clear example when an artist who’s on is shaky bout collaborating with other artists. Some are are stars for a reason and some are not.
